New Hanover County Commissioner Brian Berger accused the Wilmington Police Department Tuesday of mischaracterizing his suicide attempt and providing false information in the police report. Abington Public drunkenness … Joel Schilling, 51, of Old York Road, Abington, was charged with public drunkenness Aug. 17 at 9:57 p.m., police said. Police said they responded to the report of a man yelling at passing cars along the 1700 block of Old York Road. Schilling was found on the median strip intoxicated and drinking alcohol, police said.
