Looks like ASS, sounds like ASS too. What a waste of an original Falcon GT. It could have been a good car. Very funny to look at. LOL.

try to find the mad max movies with the original sound because some dvds were made with american dubbing which is just all wrong.

A turbocharger is completely different from a supercharger. The turbo was still working, you just don’t get much boost at low RPMs. Have to wait for the turbo to spool up (called turbo lag).

I used to be a big fan of the first two films then I moved to Australia and eventually owned
an XC Falcon Hardtop with update grille and the Ford Landau….I will never own a Ford again! The original movie car used a hollowed out 671 blower with an electric motor
to switch on/off. If this replica would have been left in original GT package it would be worth well in excess of $50,000.

ya my 280 z was turbo it didnt run at low rpms

  15. phobiablack Says:

Yes and no, You could turn it off with a clutch, BUT you’d have to adjust the fuel map to make up for less air-flow(ethier with Map or MAF)

There comes a time in a guys like when he just gotta see what his car can do, unfortunately that day wasn’t when this was recorded

as you pointed out on a supercharger they are normally a permanetly running shaft or belt drive. You cant really run a car with a “selectable” supercharger like in the film because it causes all sorts of fuelling problems.

who worried about fuel 25 years ago and yes even then cars could have trip switches and variable superchargers.

  19. oldspice100 Says:

thats not true if you put an electronic clutch you can turn it on and off when you want, just like the new cars they turn off the super charger at low engine speeds

  20. clifty69 Says:

ha nice car but u know u cant turn a super charger on and off it has to go constently!

  21. alexzanderhill Says:

  22. obiwan2906 Says:

Sickest cop car ever tho. Id crap my pants if that was on my ass!!!

  23. mcpresso Says:

If you think this is a good car…should check out some other aussie muscle cars,

  24. Anigmalistic Says:

The blower on the original interceptor in the movie wasn’t acutually real, as you pointed out on a supercharger they are normally a permanetly running shaft or belt drive. You cant really run a car with a “selectable” supercharger like in the film because it causes all sorts of fuelling problems. Its still one of my favourite movie cars ever though, and I love this replica.

  25. poopdogsays Says:

Is the blower on a clutch or something? Because the car is running but the drive belt isn’t spinning??
